Job Description

The Risk Manager engages with existing Child Day Centers, Assisted Living Facility, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Management and non-management staff to conduct workplace risk assessments and assist operations in establishing and maintaining effective safety and risk control programs with a focus on risk avoidance / control program(s)

Essential Functions:

• Responsible to ensure that LifeQuest is operating within the law at all times, managing relationships, with state and federal offices, officials, agencies and develops, implements, revises and oversees LifeQuest’s quality assurance, risk management and safety programs.

• Directs all aspects of the clinical risk management and quality improvement programs, including recommending and implementing initiatives that match the health care regulatory environment; evaluating processes for compliance, quality and risk management impact.

• Reviews, promotes and evaluates risk management and quality issues/ concerns within the LifeQuest organization

• Ensures that LifeQuest achieves high levels of service and compliance with all laws and regulations, while supporting the growth of the organization and reducing exposure to risk

• Develops, educates, revises and maintains all Quality Assurance policies, procedures and practices for LifeQuest ensuring compliance

• Represents as the Corporate Compliance officer

• Provides safety leadership and direction to Operations to ensure consistent delivery of safety policies and procedures.

• Develops and implements LifeQuest’s safety policies and procedures as needed/ directed.

• Performs workplace risk assessments and assists leadership with implementation of improvement suggestions. Assessments to focus on risk area(s) for employees, residents, OSHA Compliance, Property, Building Security, and general safety concerns.

• Perform and provide safety training (train the trainer) sessions as needed to maintain ongoing safety / OSHA compliance.

• Assists facilities with safety committees, incident investigation, trending reviews, etc.

Requirement

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Quality Assurance, Risk Management and Safety preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree or above• Clinical degree a plus
